I've had this coffeemaker for about 3 weeks. It brews a good cup of coffee in a minimum of time, is easy to use and to clean, and is perfect for one person in either a home or an office setting. The unit does make a fair amount of noise, so may not be suitable for some applications, but if you're looking for an inexpensive coffeemaker for one person, this may be it. Permanent filter and stainless steel mug with plastic interior.

This item was delivered in a normal time and in good shape by Amazon.com. It functions as expected.

It's not as good as the old one! I had an earlier version of this unit which was great. I used it almost every weekday for nine years, and it worked perfectly until the end. This new one is almost as unreliable as the old one that I had to replace when it became, well, unreliable. The unit is made for 12 ounces, but a) it doesn't pump out all of the water, and b) if you put enough coffee in for a 12 ounce cup the grounds spill out into the reservoir and splash up on the inside of the cover. Summary: the earlier version made a perfect 10 ounce cup of coffee EVERY time until it wore out. This model is iffy - when it works right it makes a good 10 ounce cup of coffee, but it's not good for a bigger cup, and even the 10 ounce cup is unreliable. Interestingly, the unit that I bought in 2001 cost about $20 as did this 2010 unit!

Overall it's a good product for the money. My only preference would have been that the wide part of the reservoir would have been on the right instead of the left as most people are right handed.

Burned my thumb (bad design)! Stopped working after the first brew... product is extremely cheaply made. There is no Auto-Off switch (meaning, u can't just stop brewing.. must wait for the carafe to empty out)

My boyfriend needed a travel mug so I just went to the store and bought the first one I found, which ended up not being a good pick. The first day he used it fell and split everywhere. So, to redeem myself I went on amazon and searched for the best Travel Mug I could find and this one was it. After reading numerous review, this one sounded like the best one. As soon as he received it he did the spill test. He closed up the lid, turned it upside down and shook it. Nothing came out, he was very impressed. We can't find anything wrong with this travel mug, it is a great replacement for any travel mugs that are so-so.

Does what it's supposed to. I am very pleased with this mug. The only thing that was starting to irk me was that it gets stained on the inside. Cleaning it out with a soapy sponge didn't do anything for the staining. But then I read that if you put a couple teaspoons of baking soda in there, pour in warm water, and let it soak overnight, the stains will come out when you wash it out afterwards. After a year of use, I just did this for the first time today. While the stains didn't completely come out, I was able to remove about 40% of the stains and it looks a lot better. I will do this more often now that I'm aware of it. Aside from that, it is a bit tricky to clean and it takes a long time to dry out because of the crevices inside, but as long as you rinse it thoroughly with soap and hot water daily it doesn't trap odors so much, and I do use cream in my coffee. Occasionally I'll drink earl grey tea out of it, and the bergamot oil pretty much kills any lingering coffee smell that's in there. So it's good to alternate, if you enjoy tea and coffee and don't mind the mug smelling like bergamot sometimes. I do wish it held more liquid. For its size, it doesn't hold as much as similarly sized mugs because it needs 1-2 extra inches of space under the lid in order to seal properly. Including the tall lid/sipping area, there are about three inches of height to this mug that can't hold liquid. You may wish to give your hot beverage extra time to cool off before sealing the mug because it really does keep it very hot for a long time. If I make tea in the mug with near-boiling water, it takes over half an hour before it's cool enough to drink. I'm not going to fault the mug for working a little too well. If I make the tea at home before bringing the mug to work, I'll brew it in a separate glass so it cools.

I have 3 Labbies and A Golden Retriever that know things off and over just wtih the wag of a tail. This is a must for every dog parent.

This mug works great, except for one fatal flaw: If you leave the lid screwed on with hot liquids inside and leave it long enough for the liquid and air to cool then the lid gets stuck because there is a vacuum created. I almost threw the mug out twice because I had such difficulty getting the lid unscrewed. It is also hard to get your fingers down onto the lid to get a good enough grip to unscrew. Now I try to remember to leave the lid open if I know I am not going to finish off my coffee.

This is the best travel mug ever. It never drips or leaks, and it's very sturdy when standing on its own. I will buy only Thermos travel mugs from now on.

This is one great mug. If you want to keep your coffee hot and not have to worry about it dribbling down your chin while you're driving to work, this is the one to buy. I make a cup of coffee at 7:30am and at 10:00am it's still almost as hot as when I first made it. This allows me to sip and enjoy without my coffee getting cold. You can also just toss it in the dishwasher for fast easy cleaning. Don't hesitate to buy, this one is worth it. Tom

I second everything the other reviewers said about ease of cleaning. I can put my entire hand inside the mug to reach the bottom for cleaning, and the lid easily disassembles and reassembles for thorough cleaning of all gaskets. As for keeping hot things hot, this morning I made a pot of tea. I poured cold milk into the travel mug and added half the tea I'd steeped. Then I drank the other half in a normal mug with breakfast. At 1:30 in the afternoon I just finished the last of what's in the Thermos Mug, and it was still at the perfect temperature... truly hot but not scalding. I really believe that the last swallow of tea from the travel mug was as hot as my first cup just after I poured it this morning. It is not too heavy, and the lip rim is the most comfortable drinking rim I've ever used. It is really better than a normal coffee mug for comfort. It fits perfectly in my car cup holder, and though "midnight blue" really looks black, I like the way it looks.

one of the best mug i have ever bout. the coffee stay hot for a long time in fact the little dislike i have about it is that it is like really hot for a long time, but its nothing that a few ice cubes didn't take care of. the lid comes completly apart wich is great cause nothing get left in there that u can't clean out so it does not stink. Won of the best things is that is isteel in side not plastic, plastic always seemed to make the coffee tast funny, and some times i leave the mug in my truck for about 1 to 2 hrs and come back to a as hot as i left it coffee, its great!. it was a little on the pricey side but i think well worth it, as long as u don't loss it or leave it on a job sight like i normaly did. I would tottaly recomend this mug to anyone.just keep in mind of the ice cubes unless u like scolding hot coffee that u can't drink for about 3 to 4 hrs.

I have been looking for a coffee mug that would keep my coffee hot longer. The thermos is great, I fill it up around 4:30 5:00 am when I leave for work and at 11:00am its still hot if I did not finish it yet. Really good and definitenly worth the money,I just wish this specific mug had rubber around it. Mug does not get hot when you hold it, just would be an advantage for holding it.

I received this mug as a gift and am so impressed with it. Having tried many other thermos style mugs in the past, I am always left with cold coffee or coffee that has spilled (from a lid that does not close well)on me in the car on my way to work - not the best day to start a day. This mug keeps drinks hot for HOURS! The lid closes completetly and is entirely sealed so there is no concern that it will spill while traveling. This mug may be a few dollars more but worth every penny! I definitely recommend.

A handy little desk-top gizmo, but it only fits a certain size mug well, and the material is so stiff, it makes it hard to get things into the pockets. Not bad, but I wouldn't buy it again. Its big brother, the Bucket Boss - outstanding.

Anybody who works at a desk but LIVES in the workshop *must have* one of these. The Mug Boss is not just a desk organizer, it is a personality statement. As a desk organizer, it's fine. I mean, really, compared to any other cup that you stick pens in, it has external pockets, and that's kind of cool -- but the best thing is that it lets people know that in your heart-of-hearts, you are a hands-on TOOL PERSON. Perfect gift, and it'll be used, for any handy or DIY type person. Mugs invariably get used to hold random pens, pencils, laser pointers, scissors, erasers, screwdrivers, etc. With this organizer, well, you can organize them.

The tool junkie in your house will get a kick out of this. It's exactly like the larger bucket boss organizers but sized for a coffee mug. It shouldn't be too difficult finding a cup that this fits on. The pockets have enough space in them for the thick sharpie markers that have the yellow grips. It seems gimmicky, but like an LED on a cordless drill it's actually very useful. I store all my pens, pencils and sharpies in the outer pockets and use the inside of the cup for storage of the odd shaped items commonly used at my desk. Overall I'm very pleased with this product and know a few people who'll be getting them as gifts.

My end table was a disaster.... all kinds of stuff was lying around, now its all within view and reach....well worth the small price paid!!

Nice chrome finish, well made. Keeps the soap contained and clean. Handsome addition to a bathroom. Comfortable to hold while lathering up. Haven't used it for travel yet, although I bought it primarily for home use.

Absolutely worth the price! Good looking, simple, fairly large so it can accommodate pretty much all brands of shave soap. But the best part is that 4 months later it still looks brand new and shiny! And admittedly I don't really take care of it much, and it sits in fairly wet environment near the basin. Definitely a good buy!

Exactly as promised. Well designed, well executed. Perfect solution - holds the soap but doesn't break if dropped. I don't use it for travel, but it looks like it would work well for that.

It holds my shaving soap very well. It is a quality product. Could be used for other things beside soap.

"Melamine is described as being "Harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Chronic exposure may cause cancer or reproductive damage. Eye, skin and respiratory irritant." (Wikipedia) True, you need a lot of it for it to be harmful, but why take the chance? Especially when there are many alternatives. Haven't we learned the lessons of BPA?

These are great. A good size. The top is flexible silicone, which is nice to drink from. I was always hesitant to have an open cup of coffee near my computer; I use these cups at my desk because they're covered.

great alternative to paper cups from the drive thru.....several local places will actually fill it for me rather than use another paper cup. Suggest preheating with hot water if using at home. Keeps coffee hot for about 10-15 minutes.

I've been looking for a non-breakable substitute for my daily Starbucks cup...I've put at least 5 trees to death with my coffee habit! There are lots of ceramic cups on the market, but I'm not graceful enough to be trusted with them (plus, they're heavy). This melamine cup is a great solution, and it travels with me everywhere...car, stores, office, etc. I've dropped it, hand-washed it, dish-washered it, left it in the car overnight in 20-degree weather...and it's still going strong. Unfortunately, it's not microwaveable, but that's a small price to pay for the convenience and the lessened guilt adding all those paper cups to our landfills. Don't confuse this with a thermos...it doesn't hold coffee heat much better than a paper cup...if you want that kind of retention, get a thermos and pour into any cup instead (even the metal insulated cups won't hold heat well because the lids are mainly plastic with sip holes, and plastic alone is not a good heat conserver). This cup is a great product at a worthwhile price...it'll make a nice gift for my friends as well. Just hope the paper companies don't hate me.

Got this for my wife for Christmas.... she said it doesn't keep the coffee very hot.... kind of "warm" maybe. She said she loves all the warnings about "Danger" can get VERY hot... be careful! Ummm guess no need to worry about that.. it barely keeps the coffee warm, let alone hot. I read a lot of reviews about the others, and none of them got very good reviews... thought this one wasn't too bad... well... my bad! Guess they haven't really figured out this deal yet. Nice idea, guess none of the manufacturers have really figured it out yet, just another gimmick.

When it worked it kept drinks nice and hot. It was great. However, the car adapter didn't last very long, less than 10 uses. Now it's just a regular travel mug. As a stand alone mug it's still pretty good. Retains heat well.

One hundred ninety-five degrees hot is almost too hot. I have to plug it in to get the drink (normally coffee) hot and then unplug it until it is cooler. However, it does what it said it would so I can not complain.

I have another mug exactly like this (in silver), and I have used it so much that the middle rubber grip stretched out. I can still use it as a backup mug (I'm famous for leaving it behind at different places). I just love this mug! It keeps coffee so hot for a long period of time. I rarely use a regular coffee mug, since I'm a "sipper." I would be lost without my Thermos Nissan Travel Mug! I highly recommend this product.

This cup was not what I was expecting, and I am very disappointed. The cup says "spill-resistant" except it spills anytime you barely tip it sideways. I can't believe I paid $21.02 for it. It is pretty, it fits in a cup holder, and it keeps my coffee warm; but it is not extraordinary.

I've been using these cups for over ten years, and their still just like new. My family has discovered my secret cups and I had to order more so I'd have one every morning. Excellent product!

Love the extra capacity coffee travel mug. It fits well into car cupholder. Solid construction, easy to drink from and keeps the coffee warm for a long time, especially if you prewarm the interior with some hot water just prior to pouring the coffee.

Works great. Have had no issues at all. I really like the stainless interior, it is hard to find them that do not leak and have no plastic. It fits in the car cup holder without a problem. Easy to clean too. I will always have one of these.

Great little coffee cup. With the sleeve you do not burn your hands. Being dishwasher safe makes it great and the pink is seay to spot. Everyone in the office wants one now. Just need more colors so we can keep track of which one belongs to who.

I was inserting quarters when one of them stuck while 3/4 of the way through the slot. When I pushed it the rest of the way through I noticed it advanced the accumulated amount by $.10 rather than $.25.

The coin bank arrived just days after I placed my order and was even the color I wanted! It made a great gift.

Is actually of far better quality than I expected for the price. Not ashamed to leave it out in the open in my new Volvo. If they weren't "out of stock", I'd buy a couple more.

Ordered this as a Christmas gift for my husband, wish there was some way i could choose the picture...the one I got wasn't ideal for him. The handle on the mug is nice, and the locking mechanism is great to avoid spills and keep drinks warm. Over all good product, could be slightly better quality (that's why only 4 stars), and really wish could've chose which design I received.

I ordered this because of the Jack Skellington picture, but I'm giving it a good review based on the travel mug itself. The screw on lid is great, never does a lid fall off in my lap! It also has a 'clicky' sipper hole, so it clicks shut to keep your coffee hot. Overall, a great coffee mug that has a great picture of Jack on it.

I've been looking for these mugs for years. They work great and are the perfect size! However, if you are looking for something that will fit in a traditional cup holder, this may not be the mug for you.

Have been looking for these cups for quite awhile. Not able to find in stores. Just the right size for my husband to take coffee with him in the morning. Glad they were available.

Very pleased with size and shape of cups and excellent handles. Lids could use closers. Delivery was quick.

I was down to only one Aladdin 20 oz mug from the 4 that I had 15 yrs ago, so I was over-joyed to find that I could get more. My original lids are too loose on the new mugs, so I have to sort them out before use. Also the handles on the new mugs are not all the way to the top like the originals. With the handle attached lower, there is only about a 1/2 inch of mug to stick in the cup holder of my truck. It hasn't spilled yet... They're still great, just too bad they're not identical to the originals.

I'm SO bummed. I was so excited when I ordered these cups because I really wanted something at least 20 oz that would keep my coffee/tea hot during my long commutes. I was STUNNED when I discovered that there is no way to cover the little hole you drink out of. This is most definitely not a travel mug. It is fine around the house and even for camping - it is nice and large and comfortable to hold and I love everything about it except the fact that it spills incredibly easily while driving in the car. I live in a very cold climate, so having the drink hole open all the time causes the liquid to cool off faster than I would like in addition to being very spillable. Bummer. I can't afford to buy something else for a while .. I splurged on these for my husband and I and he refuses to use his for his morning commute.

This cup was designed to fit the base of a Nalgene 1 liter bottle, and does perfectly. So for no significant increase in volume, you have a large cup/small pot that fits Esbit solid fuel stoves, and other small stoves. Not the sexy, uber-cool titanium, but plain old stainless steel, with fairly solid wire handles. The handles are long and slim, and well designed for use as a pot. Not so comfortable as a cup handle, but that is a trade-off for this cup. The size is a little too large and a little too small for me. A little too large for a good coffee cup, but some folks like a wider mouth to a cup. A little too small for a pot, but if you're just heating water for single servings of freeze dried food it's could work out OK. Tailored for the Nalgene bottle, OK if it is your only pot/cup on a short trip, but doesn't excel at anything but fitting the water bottle. E. M. Van Court

Since aluminum canteen cups seem to now be expensive relics and have been replaced by the hydration pack on your back - one is still in need of a cup for some coffee or to eat something that's not in a plastic bag. This works very well.

exactly what i was looking for, a small cup/pot to nest on my 32oz nalgene. Not as light as a Ti cup, but still light enough for me. My only issue would be with the price...kinda high, but much less than a Ti cup would have cost. All in all a quality buy, i am quite happy with it.

This little cup is reminiscent of the army canteen cup. It fits right over your lexan bottle, saving space. It would be nice if there were a lid that slipped on the bottom of it, but it's still a good tool for backpacking, and the price is right.

sigg metro mug thermal water bottle 8.5 oz. the size is great for me to carry in my bag any place i go. i use it during my vacation especially going abroad we don't want to get beverage we can't rely on. the color is beautiful. this is my second one ist one i received as a gift i dropped and damage the bottle leaks in my bag that is the reason i replace it. i hope you will continue this size model. it is difficult to find small size.

This is the best container that I've found to satisfy my kids' needs. My kids bring homemade meals to school everyday and are very particular about what they drink and eat. Organic milk in little cartons can get very expensive if consumed by 3 kids everyday, and I also didn't want to bother with plastic containers that might leach BPA into the milk. The bottle is leak-proof and is not tippy as its slim design might suggest. The bottom of the bottles are made of rubber and keeps the bottle quite stable and sturdy. The lid is small and rubber coated, so my kiddies find it easy to open even after I closed it really tightly. I found this particular product at a local Whole Foods and it cost $24.99 each plus tax. I returned it after finding the same exact product in amazon.com. So this amazon deal is a real find.

I wish I had ordered a bigger one! But it does keep my water nice and cold and saves on plastic bottles since I'm not buying cases of water anymore.

I'm a nurse and can't have food with me at my work station. This product delivers! Keeps my coffee hot for atlesst 4-5 hours which is great since many times I don't have time to sit and drink it all at one time. Because of it's distinctive appearance there's no mistake in recognizing my coffee! Highly recommend this product for the on the go person.

I purchased this mug so I wouldn't have to keep reheating my morning coffee (in my ceramic mug) while getting ready in the morning. If I don't reheat the coffee, it's ice-cold in the ceramic mug by the time I finish it, 30 to 45 minutes after making the coffee. In comparison, in this GSI OUTDOORS GLACIER STAINLESS DOUBLE WALLED MUG, the coffee is cooler than tepid by the end, but that's better than cold. Perhaps it would be warmer if I could use the lid, but I can't. I've washed the lid several times, but it stinks. Literally. It just smells bad. Not something I want to smell as I'm bringing the mug up to take a sip from a nicely brewed cup of coffee. I thought a large, insulated travel mug would be overkill for a single, morning cup of coffee, but I may need to go that route to maintain a nice, hot temperature from start to finish. This mug slows cooling, but not as much as I would like.

If your looking for a product that will keep your coffee/tea hot; this is it. I have owned 1 and have been looking for more. Bought 4 more. You'll enjoy this product.

This is great. Nice and simple and straightforward and the right size if you just want a normal-sized cup of coffee. You can drink with or without the lid. Heat retention is not fantastic, but certainly good enough. Note that the plastic piece on the bottom is removable. Take that off and it has a nice clean look to it, with rounded edges on the bottom.

I searched high and low for a mug that would fit the small version of the Keurig coffee machine (that uses Kcups) this fits perfectly. Yes it is a small mug but it fits the 8 oz that brews on a cycle and keeps it hot for a good while.

This small mug - the size of a regular coffee cup-is a quality easy to clean mug. The soft plastic pop in lid is a disappointment,it is too flimsy to maintain a good seal while drinking. The mug with out the lid is very pleasant to drink from with a removable rubber base (with a rubber odder ). The mug itself I rate 5 stars- the lid I rate 1 star.
